Privacy Policy
Smart Baby Tracker (“the App”) is published by Lee Strong (“we”, “us”). The App helps parents and caregivers log feeding, sleep, nappy changes, growth, journal memories, and related care events. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, why, and the choices you have. It is intended to meet Google Play’s requirements for a clear, accessible privacy policy.
Who the App is for
The App is designed for adult parents and caregivers. Children are not the intended users of the App. Information you enter about your baby (such as feeds, sleep, growth, or photos) is provided by you as the caregiver.
Information we process
On your device (local storage). By default the App works without an account. On-device we may store:
- Baby profile details you enter (for example name, date of birth, sex, and optional profile photo)
- Care logs you create (feeding, sleep, nappies, pumping, growth measurements, journal notes/photos, health entries such as medication, vaccines, or temperature, and other activities)
- App preferences (for example units and night-mode preference)
- Sync status metadata if you later sign in
If you create an account. We process your email address, password (stored as a secure hash, not in plain text), optional display name, and authentication tokens on your device.
If you sync or invite a partner. We process family membership, invite codes/tokens, and synced baby profile and care-log data on our servers so your devices and invited partners stay aligned. Optional baby profile photos you sync are transmitted to our servers (subject to a size limit) so partners can see the same photo.
Permissions. With your permission, the App may use the camera or photo library to add a baby photo, journal photo, or scan a partner invite QR code. Camera frames for QR scanning are processed on-device to read the code and are not uploaded as a video stream. Photos you choose to save may be stored locally and, if you sync, uploaded as described above.
Technical data. Our hosting environment may automatically process limited technical data such as IP address, timestamps, and basic request logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Advertising measurement (TikTok). On Android, the App includes the TikTok App Events SDK so we can measure the performance of our own TikTok advertising campaigns (for example app installs and whether people who install the App later sign up or sign in). In connection with that measurement, the SDK and App may process and send to TikTok:
- Device and advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID), and related device/app technical signals used for attribution
- App activity and standard analytics events (for example app install and launch; account registration and login; completing first-run setup; joining a partner/family group)
- When you are signed in: a unique account identifier, optional display name, and email address (used to match events to a user for measurement)
We do not send your baby care logs, photos, or family invite contents to TikTok. Baby profile details used only for care logging stay on your device and, if you sync, on our servers as described above—not via the TikTok SDK.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not show third-party advertisements inside the App
- We do not send partner-invite emails from this service (invites are shared by you via code, link, or QR)
- We do not use your baby logs to train public AI models
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide core App features (logging, timers, insights, journal, and export)
- Authenticate accounts and keep synced data consistent across devices and invited family members
- Measure and improve our own advertising and marketing (including attribution of installs and key in-app actions via TikTok)
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and operate the service
- Respond to privacy or support requests you send us
Sharing
Care-log data is shared with partners only when you invite them (or when you join someone else’s family) and they remain members. Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers may process technical data as part of operating the service.
TikTok. We share the advertising-measurement data described above with TikTok Inc. and its affiliates so TikTok can provide ads measurement, attribution, analytics, and related services under TikTok’s terms for business products. TikTok processes that information as an independent controller or according to its own policies for advertisers. For more detail, see TikTok’s privacy materials for business products (for example TikTok’s Business Products (Data) Terms and related privacy notices published by TikTok).
We do not sell personal information.
Data about babies
Logs and photos may include information about your child that you choose to enter. You control what you record. We process this information to provide the tracking and sync features you request. Growth charts in the App are approximate informational references only and are not medical advice.
Retention
Data on your device remains until you delete entries, clear App storage, or uninstall the App. Cloud account and synced family data remain while your account and membership are active. Soft-deleted synced items may be retained briefly to reconcile devices, then removed according to our operational practices.
Security
We use HTTPS for network traffic, hashed passwords, and reasonable technical measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
- Use the App as a guest without creating an account
- Sign out, stop inviting partners, or uninstall the App at any time
- Revoke camera or photo permissions in your device settings
- Limit advertising measurement on Android by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID (or opting out of ads personalization) in your device settings; this may reduce attribution accuracy but does not remove the App’s core features
- Export a text summary of recent logs from Settings
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your account and cloud data by emailing us (see Contact). We will respond within a reasonable period and no later than required by applicable law
Google Play users who create an account may delete cloud account data in the App: Settings → Delete account. The App creates a one-time code; you then enter that code on api.smartbabytracker.com/delete-account to confirm. Shared baby logs remain available to partners who stay in the family. Local data can also be removed by clearing App storage or uninstalling. You may still contact privacy@lee-strong.com for help.
International processing
Our servers may be located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, or with hosting providers that process data in those regions. If you access the App from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to where we operate the service.
Children as App users
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information inappropriately, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Medical disclaimer
The App provides logging and informational tools only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional care. Always follow guidance from your clinician or local health service.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy. Material changes will be reflected in the App and/or on this page.
